I like it when your saucy.
Condiments. I’m pretty seasoned to this line of conversation.
It is no secret that I love sauces. They were a gift from the Greek god Aphrodite. She came down and brought them to my great great great grandmother in 200 b.c, she knew they would help spread love..... Just kidding, but I love them all. Ranch, olive oil, mustard, spicy mustard, spicy sauces, sweet sauces, marinara sauces, I could go on. However there is one sauce that has been my go to as of late. We call this the Godzilla. I feel I could drink this, but I think Trey may leave me if I start drinking condiments.
This recipe is a copy cat recipe, brought to you by my taste buds. You can find the original version at Hawkers. This recipe is simple, and easy to create only item required is a blender. We generally pair this as a marinade or an Asian inspired dish due to the ginger.
Sesame Oil 1 ½ - 2 ½ cups
Green Onions: 2-3 onions
Cilantro: 1-2 bundles
Garlic: 4-6 cloves
Ginger
Juice of two limes, add some zest for extra flavor
Soy Sauce or an alternative (we use Bragg’s): ½ cup
Steps:
Wash your onions and cilantro
Cut your green onion up to the white. If using a lower grade blender I recommend chopping your onion into finger sizes before throwing them in.
Chop up your cilantro
Peel your garlic
Cut ginger into pieces and peel if desired. (I do not have a quantity as I go by the size of the ginger itself, I use roughly a palm sized piece.)
Drop in your liquids and blend on high. The sauce will not be runny rather thick and textured.
